During the COVID-19 pandemic I fulfilled the role of a Public Affairs Officer. The Louisiana National Guard was activated in the fight against COVID-19 and my role was to capture and publish these moments. I traveled to various testing sites and distribution centers recording the work our soldiers were doing. From distributing food and packaging PPE to delivering ventilators all over Louisiana, I was there to document it. I ran the 139th Regional Support Group social media pages and kept followers up to date on what our unit was doing to help the citizens of Louisiana. This experience enriched what it meant to be a communicator.
